This table is carved out of a block of cork. The idea for this project was to design a simple table that tacitly invites people to use it with fewer worries in the back of their minds. Since the entire table is made of cork, it is soft to the touch while absorbing all the shocks and noises. Moreover, making both the tabletop and the base in cork enabled the development of a screw-free flat packing/assembly. Thanks to Amorim Cork Composite for producing this sample for an exhibition.
